The conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the deadliest since WW2. Over 6 million people have died, 2 million have been displaced, and every year 400,000 women and children raped as a weapon of war.
This brutality revolves around the mining of the Congo's abundant minerals, specifically Gold, Tin, Tantalum and Tungsten, all of which are found in the electronic products we use every day. They're in our phones, our iPods, our laptops, and our TVs. We rely on them every day and without them the world as we know it would grind to a halt, yet they all play a role in fuelling the war in the Congo. What we do:
